have the opportunity to develop leadership skills while
contributing to the success of camp. With a positive attitude and
initiative, you'll be an essential part of the team that empowers
our campers to be innovators who envision and create a better
world! YOU WILL
- Provide exemplary customer service to each camper, family, and
guardian at all times:
- Enthusiastically greet all campers and guardians ensuring a
safe and welcoming environment for all.
- Follow all check-in/check-out procedures to ensure efficiency
and accurate daily attendance.
- Help campers finish out their day with positive energy and
excitement, ensuring a safe hand-off to guardians.
- Enthusiastically and collaboratively participate in all camp
activities
- Collaborate with your teammates to plan, set up, and run daily
activities.
- Supervise campers to ensure safety at all times during
ceremonies and all-camp activities.
- Promote a positive camp experience at all times with your
energy and camp spirit.
- Actively participate in camp chants, songs and perform skits in
opening and closing ceremonies.
- Seek out opportunities to lend your skills and experience to
spark joy at camp.
- Receive ongoing coaching to grow your administrative and
operations experience:
- Receive paid online training before camp begins to introduce
you to the innovation education movement, the Galileo Innovation
Approach, and company policies and best practices.
- Attend 2 in-person days of paid training where you will meet
your team, set up camp, and participate in training.
- There is no task too big or too small! Support behind the scene
camp operations completing various projects and administrative
duties throughout the week.
- Develop your professional skills and push yourself to try new
things under the guidance of camp leadership through frequent
feedback and supplemental training throughout the summer.
- Supervise campers and support camp programming under the
guidance of the leadership team
- Develop your leadership skills by leading groups of kids during
team leader breaks and transition times
- Lead activities and supervise camper groups during extended
care, under the leadership of the Assistant Camp Director.
- Actively lead games and songs, and support transitioning
campers to the next activity.
- Prioritize exemplary camper safety and maintain energetic
joy.
- Follow the systems and processes for your site for meal and
break times.
- Cultivate connections with campers to promote inclusive fun for
all.
- Manage daily set up and clean up of camp and assist Instructors
with lesson preparation
- Proactively help create the sights and sounds of camp by
designing/creating camp decorations.
- Organize supplies/materials, arrange learning spaces, and prep
for activities daily.
- Clean up and reset the site at the end of the camp day. PAY AND

- Experience caring for, supervising, coaching, and/or mentoring
kids (can be unpaid/volunteer experience)
- Work experience in a school or childcare setting is a plus, but
not required.
- Availability to work 4-6 hours shifts daily, Monday - Friday,
for the duration of camp.
- For consistency and camper safety, we prioritize applicants who
are able to commit to working for the full duration of camp (4-8
continuous weeks, depending on the camp location).
- Applicants with less than 4 continuous weeks of availability
will not be considered for this role.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not
required
- If under the age of 18, must be able to obtain a work permit as
required by State law
- Minimum age requirement: must be 16 years of age by May 6,
2024
- Ability to balance multiple tasks while working with a sense of
urgency and enthusiasm.
- Ability to complete all pre-camp tasks, including background
checks, state-mandated certifications, electronic onboarding
paperwork, and online training prior to the start of camp. At

InformationSCHEDULEAll camps operate Monday - Friday. Staff are
also required to attend two pre-camp set-up days, which vary by
site and may be scheduled between Thursday - Sunday before camp
opens. Shifts vary by position and location and can start as early
as 7:00 a.m. and end as late as 6:00 p.m.Camp set-up dates, start
dates and duration vary by location - find your location on our
page to view site-specific dates. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Some lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs.
