Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for a dedicated part-time Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate - RSP) to join our team in South Santa Ana, CA! Job Details: Two days per week (not Mondays or Thursdays) 7:30am - 4pm Caseload: 10 - 12 students RSP (pull out, push in) setting Age group: TK-8th Duties will include case management (scheduling IEP team meetings, collaborating with other assessors and service providers, creating trimester-ly IEP goal progress reports). Single site - dual language program (Spanish/English) Bilingual/biliterate skills are preferred but not required Will work closely with SPED coordinator, School Psychologists, other Education Specialists, Paraeducators, SLP, and OT. Pay starting at $55/hr Qualifications: Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution Valid state license or certification for Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs Responsibilities: As a Special Education Teacher with Birch Agency, you will: Provide direct/group instructions to students with disabilities Develop lesson plans/instructional material to meet needs of students IEP Conduct educational assessments Attend IEP meetings Assist in planning and development of IEP Facilitate implementation of special education services Collaborate with other members who are part of the special education team Employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to needs of diverse learners Effectively communicate with parents/caregivers and staff to support students academic success Modify traditional education curriculum to meet students needs Ensure appropriate accommodations are available for classroom instruction and testing Employ techniques for positive behavioral support Assist in the collection of data for providing appropriate classroom interventions Benefits: Competitive compensation package with benefits including health and dental insurance 401(k) matching Paid time off Relocation assistance (if applicable) Access to a supportive network of peers and mentors within Birch Agency Only candidates who are eligible to work in the US without sponsorship will be considered for the position Please contact Andrew Sanchez if you qualify and would like to be considered for the opportunity.
