families with compassionate and comprehensive care to promote
wellness and build strong communities. When you volunteer at HSA,
you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of
people and enrich the local community with your skills, knowledge,
and experience. At times like these when social services are being
cut and the need for these services is increasing, it is essential
for non-profits to count on volunteers to fill in the gaps and help
those who need most. Volunteering has several positive benefits for
all. Perhaps the biggest benefit for volunteers is the satisfaction
of incorporating service into their lives and making a difference
in their communities. The intangible benefits alone-such as pride,
satisfaction, and a sense of accomplishment-are worthwhile reasons
to serve. In addition, when we share our time and talents we:
Your support can help us provide these programs to everyone who
needs our help. It is only through the financial generosity of
caring individuals that HSA can continue providing vital programs
in the often overlooked and under funded cities of southeast Los
Angeles County. In these uncertain financial times, we are bracing
ourselves for anticipated cuts in funding on the local, state, and
federal levels. This is why we especially recognize and value
private contributions. Every last dollar enables HSA to continue
serving the most underserved residents in our community.
Additionally, these unrestricted dollars allow HSA to use the funds
where most needed. Please contact us if you would like to make a
