Description Lead RN First Assistant at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8 -hour Da y shifts. The Lead RNFA collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team in performing a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient. This individual renders direct patient care as part of the perioperative role assisting the surgeon in the surgical treatment of the patient. The Lead RNFA is also responsible for the creating and maintaining of scheduling services for the department, as well as serving as mentor and lead for the staff members. Performs duties within approved standardized procedures and under direct supervision of the surgeon and performs functions specifically identified and consistent with training received. The RNFA functions interdependently, and collaboratively, with the surgeon and applies knowledge, skill, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation that yields optimal results for the patient. Required qualifications: - Associate's Degree in Nursing - Completion of RNFA course - Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License= - Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association - Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association - Upon hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association - 3 years experience and expertise in perioperative nursing including scrubbing and circulating Preferred qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - Upon hire: National Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) - 1 year Previous RNFA experience Why Join Providence?
