Job Description:
Description: Tayani Institute is seeking a dynamic, experienced,
energetic and knowledgeable full-time Surgery Coordinator/Counselor
to lead our growing and thriving Ophthalmology practice. Our
practice provides a broad array of ophthalmology and oculoplastic
surgery services. We are a high volume, fast paced practice

vision), PTO and profit-sharing plan. Surgery Coordinator/Counselor
Duties & Responsibilities: Coordinate surgery scheduling for
patients, surgeons, and facilities. Clearly communicate financial
responsibilities, payment plans, and cost estimates to patients
while confidently guiding conversations toward commitment and
securing payment arrangements to ensure timely case acceptance and
scheduling. Obtain authorizations or insurance approvals for
procedures, as well as medical clearances from the patient's
Primary Care Physician. Ensure pre-op and post-op instructions are
communicated clearly to patients. Manage the surgery calendar,
balancing surgeon availability and patient needs. Oversee
preparation of surgical charts and ensure all necessary
documentation is completed. Coordinate with the surgical facility
or hospital on logistics and patient flow. Ensure compliance with
surgical and medical regulations (e.g., informed consents, patient
safety). Follow up with patients post-surgery to ensure continuity
of care. PM22 Requirements: 1. Experience coordinating surgeries at
a high level 2. Strong sales and closing skills 3. Medical office
insurance and obtaining authorizations; Ophthalmology experience
preferred, but not required 4. Flexibility - Ability to travel
between offices in Orange County and N. San Diego County 5.
Effective communicator - to patients & physicians 6. EHR experience
- at least 1 year - NextGen preferred 7. Great leadership and
teamwork skills Pay Range: $26.00 - $32.00/hour plus commission.
Commensurate with experience. Compensation details: 26-32 Hourly
