Job Description:
Job Description This position will lead in the development of
Decision Support reporting solutions at Regal Medical Group in
order to support the Executive Management Team’s business
objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the
following: Departmental Management: Provides leadership, vision and
management to Decision Support Department Provides day to day
supervision, conduct performance appraisals and delegate work
assignments for all Decision Support personnel Assists in
recruiting, hiring and providing appropriate training for Decision
Support staff Holds regular departmental meetings to review
reporting accuracy and quality, promote team building and works to
provide growth paths to staff. Initiates on-going process
improvements in Decision Support Instructs staff in techniques for
interviewing report requestors so purpose/business question request
is clearly stated, in order that analyses will address the intent
the first time around, improving process efficiency. Is a technical
resource for Decision Support, mentoring staff in reporting
technologies as well as healthcare business knowledge Is an
advocate for Business Intelligence, bringing improvements to
business processes through the increased availability of business
intelligence Looks for opportunities to introduce reporting
technology and automation to manual processes, in order to improve
data collection, provide for increased accuracy and productivity,
as well as increased access to information. Provides value-added
business analysis on complex healthcare business issues, providing
recommendations and areas for improvement to management. Assesses
new reporting technologies and the feasibility of system
enhancements to determine the potential value for Regal Medical
Group Identifies emerging information technologies to be
assimilated, integrated and introduced to Regal Medical Group.
Maintains the integrity and continual operation of reporting
platforms, ensuring that data is accurately and timely replicated
to reporting environments Ensures the continual functioning of
mission critical, real-time management reports Ensures that HIPAA
is not violated through the by the inappropriate release of
information. Education /Experience : A bachelor’s degree from a
four-year college in computer science, Information Systems, or
related field . 10 years of work experience in a managed care
environment with at least 5 years of management/leadership
experience required. Familiarity with Healthplan compliance
reporting (ODAGs, Part C, etc.) Report development in an EZCAP
environment Experience developing utilization metrics such as bed
days per thousand and readmission rates PM cost analysis by
provider category Contract modeling analysis Technical Skills /
Proficiencies : Expert level SQL skills Visual Studio Data
warehouse SSRS report development Expert level Excel skills Tableau
Dashboard development Access database development / VBA Crystal
Reports Leveraging technology to automate manual processes The pay
range for this position at commencement of employment is expected
to be between $150k and $200k/year; however, base pay offered may
vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market
location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include
other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards
in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other
benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off
benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave),
dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in
these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an
offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will
