This role is integral to our production process and requires a professional with a strong understanding of CNC, Conventional, Horizontal boring mills, machining centers, lathes, VTLs, shop math, machining speeds, and programming. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role and will be responsible for creating quality parts using various machining tools.Responsibilities:1. Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints to understand the requirements of products and services.2. Setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.3. Modifying parts and materials to improve overall production.4. Testing completed machines to ensure they function smoothly.5. Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.6. Adhering to all safety and health regulations when operating equipment.7. Keeping informed about advances in machining technology and implementing new practices and equipment.8. Reviewing blueprints, drawings, or sample parts to determine machining operations to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations.9. Computing dimensions and tolerances and setting up machine tools.10. Inspecting finished pieces to ensure they meet specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.Qualifications:1. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a machinist at a Machine Shop 2. High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.3. Certificate or diploma in machining or similar field is preferred.4. Extensive experience with CNC, Conventional, Horizontal boring mills, machining centers, lathes, VTLs, shop math, machining speeds, and programming.5. Strong knowledge of the operating standards and maintenance of manufacturing machinery and equipment.6. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.7. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.8. Solid understanding of mathematics and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.10. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.11.
